Brandon Garner McDaniel, 37 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said he whipped his girlfriend with a power cord to a lamp.
Reports said that the victim suffered red marks and swelling to her arms and legs.
The incident occurred at a home on Lavender Drive.
McDaniel is charged with battery.
