Moises Lopez-Vicente, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he lied about his identity while being arrested for being drunk and causing a wreck.
Police said that during the course of the investigation, Lopez-Vicente gave them the name of Jean Carlos Ayala Morales as his own.
While being fingers printed at the jail, deputies said that they discovered his true identity.
Lopez-Vicente is charged with first degree forgery, false statements and writings, identity theft fraud, DUI, driving without insurance, failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions and operation of a vehicle without a validation decal.
