Daniel Joe Massingill, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he broke into a barn on Everett Springs Road and stole an air compressor.
Police added that the burglary and theft were recorded on a surveillance camera.
Massingill is charged with theft by taking, second-degree burglary, and failure to appear.
