Ethan Samuel Ray, 31 of Cedartown, was arrested in Rome on drug charges after being pulled over for not wearing a seat belt.
Police said that Ray was found with marijuana and drug-related objects inside a backpack during a search of the vehicle.
Ray is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and a seat belt violation.
Ray was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime but that charge has already been dropped.
