Darius Deandde Miller, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he broke into a home in order to avoid arrest following the execution of a search warrant at his home on Penning Avenue.

Police said that officers found several pounds of marijuana, digital scales, baggies and US currency during the execution of a search warrant at 223 Pennington Avenue.

In an effort to avoid arrest, Miller allegedly ran from police and broke into a home on Myrtle Avenue.

Miller is charged with first degree burglary, obstruction, possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana and possession of drug related objects.
