Kenneth Zackary Whaley, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with a large amount of drugs during a traffic stop on Turner McCall Blvd.
Police said that they initiated a traffic stop after they noticed Whaley failed to properly maintain his lane of travel.
During the stop a K9 officer alerted on the vehicle, leading police to search it. The search then resulted in officers finding 17 grams of meth, 3 grams of marijuana, 2 hypodermic needles and two empty plastic baggies.
Whaley is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, possession of marijuana and failure to maintain lane.
