Rory Lushon Chatman, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after hitting a woman with a car and then kidnapping her.
Reports said that Chatman tossed a brick threw the woman’s car window, causing her to receive cuts to her arms, legs and hand. Chatman then engaged in a physical altercation with the woman. He is accused of biting her right hand before using a vehicle to crash into her legs. He is then accused of taking her cellphone to percent her calling for help while holding her against her will.
Chatman ended up stealing the victim’s cellphone and $500 in cash during the incident.
Chatman is charged with kidnapping, aggravated assaulting, aggravated battery and theft by taking.
