Friday June 3, 2022 at approximately 1700 hours Albert Spivey suffered a medical episode in the medical wing of our facility. Our medical staff and deputies that were present immediately began performing life-saving measures until the ambulance arrived. Mr Spivey was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been contacted as is our procedure in these situations.

Friday at approximately 1700 hours an inmate at the Floyd County Jail suffered a medical episode in the medical wing of our facility. Our medical staff and deputies that were present immediately began performing life-saving measures until the ambulance arrived. The inmate was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been contacted as is our procedure in these situations. The name of the inmate is not being released pending the notification of the next of kin.
