Cartersville Man Arrested for Trying to Cash Forged Check

James Donald Crocker, 28 of Cartersville, was arrested in Rome after reports said he attempted to cash a forged check at the BP/Dunkin’ Doughnuts on Shorter Avenue.

Police said that the check was in the amount of $1500.

When authorities arrived Crocker attempted to walk away, ignoring police commands to stop for questioning.  

Crocker is charged with 4^th degree forgery and obstruction.
