Michael Reece Ochoa, 36 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found passed out sleeping in the roadway.
Police stated that they found Ochoa sleeping in front of 214 West 10th Street while under the influence of alcohol.
Reports added that when they woke Ochoa up he threw cigarette pack at the officer, hitting him in the chest and then the roadway.
Ochoa is charged with city drunkenness and littering.
