Kamaurius Naquian Fletcher, 21 of Rome, Keric mar King, 20 of Carrolton, and Javariel Mendes Smith, 22 of Augusta, were arrested this week after a traffic stop on the Armuchee connector led police to find an opened container of alcohol and marijuana.
Police said that King was clocked at driving at speeds of over 100 mph in a 40 mph zone. He then allegedly refused to pull over for police, leading them on a chase. After eventually stopping near Three Mile Road he fled the scene on foot. He was captured after a short chase.
Fletcher and Smith are charged with open container violation and possession of marijuana.
King is charged with giving false information to police, possession of marijuana, speeding, failure to obey traffic control devices, obstruction, open container violation, and driving without a license.
