Raymond Mike Glover, 43 of Rome, was arrested after police said he viciously attacked his wife between the 100 and 200 blocks of Agnes Street.
Reports said that the victim was left with scratches, redness, and bruising on her face, chest, and arms.
A witness told police that Glover slapped the woman before shoving her to the ground and where he continued to attack her.
Glover is charged with battery.
