Rome Man Jailed for Attacking Wife in front of Children

James Lee Richards, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he caused bodily harm to his wife in the presence of their children.

Reports added that Richards also made comments that placed another in fear of their safety.

The incident occurred at a home on East 10^th Street.

Richards is charged with battery, simple assault and cruelty to children in the 3^rd degree.
