Grady Evan Willerson, 21 of Rome, turned himself into the Floyd County Jail after police said he injured another person while driving drunk down Riverbend Drive.

Police said that Willerson, who was intoxicated, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Several alcoholic beverages were located in his vehicle at the time of the accident.  The passenger, an underage male, was also drinking at the time of the crash and was sent to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Willerson is charged with serious injury by vehicle, underage furnishing of alcohol, DUI, too fasts for conditions, seat belt violation, open container and failure to maintain lane.
