Courtney Vashun Alexander, 38 of Rome, was arrested after a search warrant of his car at the Fairbridge Inn led officers to find drugs and a gun.
Police said that they found a Ruger .40 caliber handgun, a large amount of cocaine, oxycodone and a digital scale that was in a brown paper bag inside his vehicle.
Alexander is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug related objects, drugs not in original container and probation violation.
