Lee Heath Williams, 34 of Dahlonega, was arrested in Rome after reports said he became physically violent with police officers and medical staff following a wreck on Woodberry Drive.

Reports said that Williams crashed his vehicle while driving under the influence and on suspended license.   He then allegedly fled the scene on foot, but was captured a short distance away at an apartment complex.

It was there he is accused of yelling profanities around a small child.

Officers stated that while placing Williams into custody he grabbed two officers by the arm while threatening to kill them.

After being taken to a local hospital Williams grabbed medical staff before attempting to flee from the scene.  Williams is then accused of kicking police in the torso as well as spitting blood at officers and medical staff.

Williams is charged with 10 counts reckless conduct ,disorderly conduct, three counts felony obstruction , driving on a suspended license, DUI, hit and run, terroristic threats and acts, five counts interference with an emergency vehicle, and two counts willful obstruction.
