Anthony Richard Pronto, 48 of Rome, was arrested this week at his home on 2nd Street after holding a woman at gunpoint for several hours.
Reports said that Pronto held the woman imprisoned while holding a 380 caliber handgun.
Pronto is charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
