Pepperell High School has been fined $500 due to the behavior of Floyd County School Board Member Mr. Tony Daniel at a recent basketball game.

The fine comes after Pepperell Athletics Director Rick Hurst failed to remove Daniel from the game following the request from GHSA officials due to him being unruly.

Daniel is accused of yelling at officials during the Pepperell and Gordon Central game earlier in the week.  (Gordon Central won 52-41).

Floyd County Schools and Pepperell High have appealed the fine.  Hurst said that he did not eject Daniel because one official told him to keep Daniel quiet, which he said he did, before a second official informed him to eject the board member.

One issue that may arise is that White, who is appealing the fine for Floyd County Schools is also the president of GHSA.
