Roy Dewayne Dunn, 39 of Ellijay, was jailed in Rome this week after reports said he wrote two checks, totaling $2,732.02 on a closed account.
Police said that the theft occurred back on December 15, 2021.
Dunn is charged with felony theft by deception.
