Silver Creek Woman Jailed for Stealing Over $60K from Business

Amber Nicole Smith, 32 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said she stole over $60,000 from Mechanical and Coating Contractors.

Reports sad that between March 2020 and December 2021, Smith used credit cards belonging to the company to make $42,209.26 worth of purchases.  Smith is accused of making personal purchases without approval. with the company card.

Then between May 2021 and September 2021 she is accused of changing bank account numbers of the company’s employees per diem checks to her bank account. She is accused of taking $19.686.65 from the business.

Smith is charged with felony theft by taking and computer theft.
