Todd Nicholson Van Leuven, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he struck another person in the face.
Police stated that Van Leuven used his fist in the attack, which occurred at a home on Bert Road.
Van Leuven is charged with simple battery under the family violence act.
