Jonathan Benjamin Whatley, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found him in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana that was packaged for resale.
Police also found scales inside his vehicle.
The drugs were found during a traffic stop on Redmond Circle and Technology Parkway.
Whatley is charged with tpossession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking marijuana, possession of drug related objects and probation violation.
