A 31 year-old Rome man, Christopher Lloyd Rhoten, was arrested this week after reports said he lied to police about his name.
Officers said that Rhoten gave police a fake name in order to mislead them during an investigation.
Rhoten is charged with giving false information to police and probation violation.
