Leanna Michelle Weathers, 31 of Rome, and Eric Shawn Weathers, 38 of Rome, were arrested this week after reports said they engaged in a violent physical altercation in front of two children. .
Police said that Weathers beat the man repeatedly in the ribs with the paddle. She then proceeded to hit the victim in the face and head.
Eric is accused of repeatedly hitting the woman in the face and back of the head, leaving redness and a knot.
Two children witnessed the incident, which occurred at an apartment on Northridge Court.
Both are charged with battery and two counts cruelty to children.
