A Rome man, Zachary Andrew Woods, 31, was jailed this week after reports said he sold methamphetamine to a police informant.

Reports said that back on March 6, 2021 Woods arranged a drug deal to occur on March 10th.   Reports added that Woods then met with the informant at Burger King on Shorter Avenue and conducted the drug deal.

Officers said that while serving an arrest warrant on Franklin Street Woods lied to them about his identity.

Woods was then taken into custody on charged of use of a communication device facilitating a felony, conspiracy to violate Georgia controlled substance act, failure to appear, probation violation, sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute and giving false information to police.
