James Steven Barnett, 58 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said that while engaged in a verbal dispute at the Fair Bridge Inn on Martha Berry Blvd he allegedly punched another person in the mouth with his fist.
Report stated that the victim suffered a minor injury.
Barnett is charged with simple battery.
