Cory Robert Shelp Jr, 21 of Rome, was arrested this week after allegedly committing a hit and run at the intersection of Warren and Russell Field Roads.
Police said that after causing a motor vehicle accident Shelp left the scene with no interaction or notifying authorities.
They added that a person was injured in the accident.
Shelp is charged with hit and run and two counts probation violation.
