Brandon Jermone Baker, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked his wife in front of three children at his home on East Drive.
Reports said that Baker grabbed the victim by the hair and forced her to the ground. The victim also told police that Baker held her on the ground in an effort to prevent her from leaving.
Three juvenile children witnessed the attack.
Officers went on to say that when they arrived on the scene Baker refused to comply with commands to get in the ground and then barricaded himself inside the home.
Baker is charged with simple battery, obstruction and three counts cruelty to children.
