Task Force Agents with the assistance of Cedartown Police K-9 Officer Zuker and K- 9 Bono, Cedartown Police Department, Polk County Police K-9 Officer Norris and K-9 Joep, DEA Rome POD, North Georgia HIDTA, and DEA SRT conducted a search warrant at 227 Central Street Cedartown, GA 30125. During the execution of this search warrant Cocaine, handguns, working digital scales, US Currency, and packaging items were located.
Taurean Reeves was arrested and charged with the following charges: Possession of Cocaine a schedule II controlled substance, Possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute, Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Once Reeves arrived at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Reeves was found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana. Reeves was also charged with possession of cocaine a Schedule II drug, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and crossing guard line with drugs.

Due to the combined efforts of the Polk County Drug Task Force, Cedartown Police Department, Cedartown Police K9, DEA Rome POD, North Georgia HIDTA, and DEA SRT and the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit DA’s Office, the safety and well-being of the residents of Polk County have been positively impacted as a result of the joint operation. These cases are being prosecuted by the Tallapoosa Judicial Circuit’s District Attorney’s Office.
