Tonya Adelle Meredith, 43 of Cleveland, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after she allegedly forged a last will and testament and then proceeded to steal from a deceased man.

Police stated that Meredith used a notary stamp without permission, as well as signed the notary’s name on the deceased person’s last will and testament.

She is then accused of taking the victim’s 2006 Honda Ridgeline, guns, and bank cards from their Glen Lake Road home.

Meredith also allegedly used the bank cards to rack up over $2,400 in purchases.

The incidents occurred between August 8th and September 10th of this year.

Meredith is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, felony theft by taking, two counts first degree forgery,  two counts identity fraud and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
