Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Charge for Lindale Man

A traffic stop on South 2^nd Street at Grove Avenue in Lindale resulted in the arrest of Jeffery Dewayne Self, 48 of Lindale, on felony drug charges.

Police said that after stopping Self for not wearing a seat belt they found he had been driving on an expired registration, as well as noticing an opened Budweiser in the vehicle.

While taking him into custody they stated that they located a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, and a glass smoking device containing marijuana.

Self is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, seat belt violation, open container and driving on an expired registration.
