Duncan Wilkerson Bryson, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he placed his wife in fear when he grabbed a telephone out of her hand and raises his fist toward her.
Reports stated that the incident occurred during a verbal dispute at their home on Emerson Drive.
Police went on to say that two juveniles witnesses the assault.
Bryson is charged with simple assault.
