A three vehicle wreck on GA 101 near Wax Road Thursday has resulted in the death of 39 year-old Jocsan Abernathy, of Rockmart.
According to Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor, Abernathy died from massive trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:25 a.m.
Report said that Abernathy was traveling north on Ga. 101 near Wax Road when a southbound Chevy Avalanche crossed into the path of his Jeep Patriot and hit it head on.
The driver of a vehicle behind Abernathy was also unable to stop in time and also struck the Jeep.
