Mark Anthony Brown, 21 of Marietta, was jailed in Rome this week after reports said a noise complaint led police to find drugs in his car.
Officers stated that they were dispatched to the area of Resevar Steet following 911 complaint for a noise violation in a Mercedes Benz. After arriving on scene they saw Brown sitting in the car. While speaking with him, officers said, they detected a marijuana odor coming from inside.
A k9 officer was then called and he altered for drugs. A search led officers to find a large quantity of marijuana, packaging materials, digital scales, suspected codeine, a forged prescription and two firearms (one of which was reported stolen).
Brown is charged with possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana, theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
