Brantley Edward Folsom, 45 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested in Rome this week after reports said he was found with meth while attempting to steal items from Belk at Mount Berry Mall.
Reports said that Folsom was searched after authorities stated he attempted to steal $148.47 worth of items.
The meth was found in his front pant pocket.
Folsom is charged with possession of meth and theft by shoplifting.
