Chad William Bolinger, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he kicked open the back door of a home and proceeded to hit the residence in the face.
Police stated that the attack resulted in a busted lip to the victim.
Two children, ages 5 and 2, were inside the Maple Road home and witnessed the attack.
Bolinger is charged with battery, criminal trespass, and two counts of cruelty to children.
