K9 Sniff Leads to Arrest of Rome Woman on Drug Charges

Heather Maria Williams, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after a free air K9 sniff led to officers allegedly found with numerous drugs.

Reports said that a K9 officer alerted on her vehicle during a traffic stop at the intersection of North 5^th Avenue and Turner McCall Blvd.

A search led police to recover methamphetamine and a schedule IV pill.

Williams is charged with possession of meth, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and drugs not in original container.
