Austin Gage Blackmon, 24 of Fort Payne, was arrested this week after reports stated he used a motorcycle helmet to beat a woman in the back of the head.
Reports added that Blackmon then proceeded to use his hands to strangle the victim, leaving visible marks around her neck.
The incident occurred at a home on Aubie Lane in Rome back on July 25th.
Blackman is charged with two counts aggravated assault, and battery.
