Eugene Albert Perkins, 55 of Rockmart, was jailed this week after reports said he was uncooperative with police when they found him allegedly drunk in his vehicle parked at a Waffle House.

Reports stated that officers were dispatched to the Waffle House around 10 pm Tuesday.

While speaking with Perkins, officers said that they detected slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.  When he got out of the truck, reports added, Perkins stumbled along the side of the truck.

Reports went on to say that Perkins began to act in a hostile manner while cursing at officers.  Once placed under arrest he continued to be disorderly and refused to get into the patrol car.

A search of his vehicle led police to find several bottles of vodka in the center console.

Perkins is charged with resisting police officer, disorderly conduct, an open container violation and driving under the influence of alcohol.
