Vernon Smith, 62 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly made unwanted physical contact with this wife that resulted in her receiving injury.
Reports said that Smith scratched the victim’s leg and arm, causing noticeable marks.
Smith is charged with simple battery under the family violence act.
