Marcus Terry Highfield 39, of Rome, GA was arrested this week after attacking a police officer at Floyd Medical Center.

Reports said he threatened to put an AK to the officer’s head. Reports added that he hit the officer on the chin with a closed fist and kicked him in the chest.

Authorities added that he obstructed Floyd medical staff from carrying out their duties. Police went on to say that the officer suffered injuries to both arms.

Highfield is charged with terroristic threats and acts, willful interference with emergency medical professionals by use of threats or violence and simple battery against a police officer
