Derrick Wayne Thrift, 45 of Gaylesville, was arrested in Rome after he allegedly stole three payroll checks from A1 Trucking with the intent of using the funds for personal use.
The alleged incident occurred sometime back in late April.
Thrift allegedly went to numerous locations and cashed the checks, which were in the amount of $597.03, $430.16, and $2,787.76.
Thrift is charged with one count forgery in the third degree, two counts of forgery in the fourth degree, three counts of theft by taking.
