According to reports, a 34 year-old Rome man, Shirbert Stubbs, was struck and killed while walking across Georgia SR 3 in Bartow County.
Reports said that Stubbs was attempting to cross the road outside of a crosswalk area when he walked into the path of a Ford F150 around 10:30 PM Monday.
Stubbs was transported to Cartersville Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, this accident is still under investigation and these are only the preliminary investigative results.
FK Jones Funeral Home has charge of arraignments.
