Lonnie William Allmon III, 41 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to strangle a 29 year-old woman to death before striking her multiple times in the face, head, torso and body while holding her against her will at a home on Abrams Road.

Reports stated that Allmon caused the victim to suffer multiple bruises to the victim’s eye, right temple, ear and arms.

Police added that the victim lost consciousness from the attack, which occurred back on January 17 and 18 of this year.

Officers also discovered over 10 ounces of methamphetamine, glass smoking devices, digital scales, marijuana and a handgun in his home.

He was captured in Carrol County before being extradited back to Floyd County this week.

Allmon is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of amphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and probation violation
