Billy Wayne Green, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a 38 year-old woman inside the Diyamart on Shorter Avenue.
Reports added that the victim suffered bodily harm in the attack.
He is also accused of taking an iPhone from the victim without permission.
Green is charged with battery and theft by taking.
