An 18 year-old inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Koven James Stephens, of Lindale, is facing additional charges after an investigation uncovered he conspired to distribute a large amount of LSD before being arrested for violent crimes against her mother.
Reports said that Stephens used Snapchat to arrange the sale of 10 doses of LSD at a location on Kingston Highway.
Police said that they went to the spot that the drug deal was to go down and when they approached Stephens he ran. While on a foot chase Stephens discarded the drugs in a public place. The drugs were eventually recovered by police.
Stephens is charged with possession of LSD, conspiracy to violate controlled substance act, use of a communication device to facilitate a felony.

Koven James Stephens, 18 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he repeatedly fired a gun toward a home on Melton Avenue before turning the gun toward his mother and firing it at her.
Reports added that Stephens could be heard on video having a verbal confrontation with his mother before shooting at her.
The incident occurred back on July 20th. He was captured in Meriwether County and transported back to Rome this week.
Stephens is charged with aggravated assault, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, pointing a gun at another, possession of a firearm by a person under age and reckless conduct.
