An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Senika Gamaze Turman, 43 of Rome, is facing additional charges after he allegedly hit and spat on a deputy.

Reports said that Turman hit a deputy in the face before spitting blood on him.

He is charged with felony obstruction, unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution and reckless conduct by an HIV infected person.

Senika Gamaze Turman, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found sleeping on a park bench under a gazebo and then refused to comply with officers.

Reports stated that after waking up, Turman threatened to do bodily harm to an officer.

Turman is charged with felony obstruction of police, criminal trespass, terroristic threats and cats and two counts failure to appear.
