Robert Harold Whorton Jr, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after he physically injured his 65 year-old grandfather.
Reports said that Whorton closed the victim’s hand in a door, causing the skin to tear with multiple cuts. The victim also suffered a dislocated finger in the altercation.
Whorton is charged with battery, abuse or neglect of an elderly person and probation violation.
