Tisha Lanette Cotton, 36 of Cave Spring, was arrested this week after she allegedly yelled obscenities at a police officer in a public place.
Reports added that a search of Cotton led officers to find a syringe in her possession.
Police went on to say that while taking her into custody she continued to pull away in an effort to avoid arrest.
The incident occurred at a home on Cave Spring Road.
Cotton is charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction and possession of drug related objects.
