Demarcus Cantrel Vaughn, 46 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he choked out a woman at a home on Heard Street.
Reports stated that Vaughn caused the woman not to be able to breath for a period of time.
The incident occurred back on July 14 of this year.
Vaughn is charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass, obstruction and probation violation.
